DESCRIPTION

The HUUM HIVE Mini Safety Railing wraps the heater in a ring of light wood, helping prevent accidental contact with the hot heater while adding a warm, decorative finish to the sauna. HUUM strongly recommends a railing around HIVE heaters.

The wooden arches attach to metal supports that mount to both the wall and the heater, and all fasteners are stainless steel. HUUM recommends treating the wood with a heat-resistant, non-toxic wood preservative and reapplying it at least once a year. Per HUUM's heater manual, the minimum safety distances still apply with a wooden railing installed.

The Finishing Touch for Your HIVE

A HUUM HIVE holds a large mass of sauna stones in an open, rounded frame — it's what gives the heater its soft, long-lasting heat and its presence in the room. The safety railing, embedding flange and heat reflector are HUUM's own finishing pieces for that frame.

A light wood railing helps keep bathers from touching the hot heater. A stainless steel flange lets you set the heater partly into the bench or floor for a built-in look. And a heat reflector, according to HUUM, cuts the safety distance to the walls by half — useful when space is tight.
